Our Shepherd, Solo (named after Han Solo, but also after the fact that Jesus left the 99 to come find the 1 solo lost sheep), has become a staple in our Christmas/Easter traditions. Our kids aged 6 and 3 have been loving this tradition for years! The children regularly talk about him all year round. He has even made an appearance on their birthdays (which are in the summer). The lessons they learn off of these cards make Jesus the central part of Christmas, and it's the perfect way for us to daily have some time to reflect on what Jesus did and His love for us. We will continue to support buying cards for both Christmas and Easter as long as they continue to come out! We would also buy new animals or other parts to the story. We love this tradition, and are eagerly waiting for November 30th this year when we get to set Solo out for the kids!
Jared,
